- As per Government of India (CCA guidelines),
FIPS 140-2 based USB tokens will be discontinued. - Timeline:
- ❌ New issuance using FIPS 140-2 → STOP before 2026
- ⚠️ Completely discontinued / moved to old list → around Sep 2026
- Important:
- If DSC is already issued in old token →
✅ It will work till expiry - But:
❌ After expiry → cannot reuse old token
❌ New DSC → not allowed in old token
